🐾 What Is Walk It Forward? 🐾

Your sponsorship sends a dog from our rescue partner Wags and Walks on a 90 minute enrichment adventure led by one of our trained, caring professionals. These adventures are more than just a walk – they are customized experiences for each dog that may include:
  • Sniffari-style walks on scenic trails, letting dogs engage their senses, decompress and explore at their own pace.
  • Lakeside hikes for fresh air, exercise, and enrichment.
  • Outings to pet-friendly community spots, like cafes for a pup cup or local shops offering a special treat, providing opportunities to interact with potential adopters along the way. Every dog will wear a bright “Adopt Me” bandana to boost visibility and spark interest during their adventure.

We don’t just take the dogs on an adventure – we share their journey with you and the community! By sponsoring a walk, you’re not only giving a shelter dog a fun-filled adventure, you’re also helping them get adopted faster by showcasing their personality to potential adopters online and in the community. Every Walk It Forward outing includes:
  • Photos and videos of the adventure that will be shared on all of our social media sites, increasing visibility for each adoptable dog, and thanking the sponsor. If you share your social handles with us we would love to tag you in the posts on Instagram! & Facebook!
  • Each sponsor receives a personalized email sharing the highlights from the outing and thanking you for the sponsorship. Photos of the adventure will be attached.
  • If you sponsored in memory or celebration of someone we also send a special message to the person of your choosing telling them about your thoughtful gift along with a follow up message containing highlights of the adventure with photos. Email is the preferred method, but we can also send a card via snail mail announcing the gift, if requested.
